I Want To Break Free

Queen - I Want To Break Free 1984

A hymn. A song that always reminds me of the work of McDermott & McGough. The reason why it is okay to wear a cow-pattern leotard, pointy tits and sing while vacuum cleaning. The reason why it is okay to be Lady Gaga. And why we should never forget where we are coming from.

Tokyo Diaries XI

A mental travel preparation.

1. Eikō Hosoe Barakei, 1961-1962
2. Tamotsu Yatō Mishima Yukio, 1967

Theoretically following the man who died for his genius, insanity and sexual identity. While examining various possible aspects, it is radicalness that attracts this cultural tourism.

Wishful Thinking #5

Ludwig Mies van der Rohe Barcelona Daybed, 1929

For my pseudo-psychotherapeutic Freud sessions and as replacement for a random corner art installation, I am requesting a daybed. Alternatively, I do also accept designs by Rick Owens or Hedi Slimane.

Best Of Jil Sander

Jil Sander Fall/Winter 2000 - Spring/Summer 2014

The image of Jil Sander has always been linked with the concept of minimalism. Once reviewing fourteen years, the aesthetics do not appear so radically restraint. Complicated colour and vibrant pattern has always been a Sander trademark - an intellectual subtlety that, ad interim, had been replaced by Simons' partly risky conceptualism. Eventually, it was Simons who revived the brand's true essence and character of what everyone primarily perceived to symbolize Jil Sander. Today, for the third time, Jil Sander leaves the house she gave birth to. Most probably, this step was not a decision of simplicity but necessity - a Sander imperative.
