Work Bitch

Britney Spears - Work Bitch 2013

I am sorry to break it to you but this is going to be history. The bitch is back. And she is working it. Reversed triangle platforms (Silent Hill), desert car scenes (Spice Girls) and bisexual slave action (Madonna) are interwined in Britney's self-referential pop mesh. Add a perfume bottle product placement and pop becomes POP.

Garage Martin Margiela II

Maison Martin Margiela x H&M Fall 2012

And the collection has been revealed. Am I disappointed as a man? Maybe. Since I rarely ever wear brown, 90% of the pieces disqualify. Did I wish for white garments and trompe-l'œil pieces instead. Definitely.

1. Raf Simons Fall/Winter 2009
2. René Magritte Palace Of Curtains III, 1928-29

From the series: Things I deeply regret. Not buying. Beweeping the brass, silver or mirror brooch. 2009 is my own failure. 1929 is the failure of birth and time. Would I have invested in Magritte?
