Parallel Genesis

1. Jean Cocteau Le Livre Blanc, 1930
2. Roy Lichtenstein Laocoon, 1988

When I saw the Lichtenstein exhibition in London, I felt a moment of 'enlightment'. When an expressive brush stroke and a fine pencil line meet in mythological thunder and lightning, two genius' minds make love.

A Short History Of The Grid In Popular Culture VII

1. Unknown
2. Man Ray Venus, 1937
3. Daniele Buetti Blue Face (Lightbox #55), 2005
4. Hasse Nielsen Supergirl, Cover Magazine Novenber 2012

On its seventh installment, we are facing the face grid in four sections: mythological, surreal, virtual and editorial. Each dividing/slicing his or her countenance in equal fragments which results in a dominant and strictly 'square' world view.

Another Sculptor, Mythology

Artworks Pablo Picasso

The Vollard Suite drawings depict the act of creation and artistic birth in a layered manner; the artwork stands on its own while the content refers to its creation as such. Again, we are confronted with the god-like character of a maker.

Another He-Male, Mythology

Bernhard Willhelm x Jutta Kraus 2009-2010

The human flaws of a German god. The exposed and hard as equivalent to Achilles' tendon. One more reason to worship and applaud Bernhard. The men in pink leggings and laced ribbon heels.

The multiple triptych, a new temporary addition to virtual mythology. Staging a blogspot drama, building an RSS legacy. Impatient, vulnerable, mean, obsessed, thoughtful, repetetive, tender.

6. Prada Fall/Winter 2002 & Comme des Garçons Fall/Winter 2000

Glazed, attached or cut out. A symbolically supercharged Man Ray motif, lips are regarded as gate to the human soul, exchanged through the soft breeze of a thing called 'kiss'.

German Psycho II, 2012

or 'Your Love Is My Trophy'

Plastic raincoat Jil Sander
Shirt Raf Simons
Tie Second Hand
Trousers H&M

A lovethreat letter and the act of creation. Reaching out to the beautiful, unfulfilled, untouchable. When Salomé carried the head of St. John, history did not know of her successor.
